“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God…”
1 John 4:7-14
We are privileged to receive God’s unconditional love whether we deserve it or not, God has never stopped loving us. We are therefore called to live out his love by sharing it with others. We may have all sorts of personal reasons, excuses, and limitations, but it does not matter how we feel, God always helps us to break through those barriers and love others. We only need to rely on him and not our own strength.
By praying every day and safeguarding our relationship with God, he expands our capacity to love, and we can love even those that we find most difficult.
The more we practice his love by sharing with others, love grows and expands. Love does not grow when we keep it for ourselves. Do we love our brothers and sisters the way God loves us? What stops us from exercising God’s love – time, fear, pride…?
