“God out to the whole world and proclaim the good news.”
Mark 16:9-15
After all the events —Jesus’ trial, death, and resurrection—and after He has appeared several times and finally convinces the disciples He is Risen, Jesus tells them to preach the Gospel to all creation.
Have we journeyed through our own mourning, weeping, disbelief, withdrawal, and denial to the point where we can hear Jesus’ message for us? Who is in our world, and what do they need to hear and experience? Even if we are still holding on to some sorrow, shock, doubt or stubbornness, perhaps we can ask the Risen Jesus to help us. We can ask Him to lead us to a place of hope in our hearts so that we can share this with others who are not aware of the good news.
