“A call to conversion and promise of safety.”

Hosea 14:2-10

In this very poetic language, Jesus calls us to turn back to him if we have moved away, saying that he will always give us compassion, nourishment, healing, shelter, care, and safety. Where or who are we turning to at the moment to get these needs met?

Maybe during these days, if we are fasting from something and are missing it more than we anticipated, we can see more clearly where we have been turning. If we are willing to stay open, this Lent can help us recognise how we can walk more closely with God in our daily lives and be more discerning.
