“They seized the beloved son, killed him and threw him out of the vineyard.”

Mark 12:1-12

How do we value our lives? God trusts us so much that he has left us free to administer the gifts and talents he has given us, none greater than the life of God that dwells in us. In the gospel, Jesus tells a parable about the vineyard, whose tenants’ farmers misused their authority seeking greed and control outside of the generosity of the vineyard owner. We are not the owners of our lives and possessions. Everything that we are and have is a gift. We need to be mindful of how we use our life, talents and possessions not only for our good but also for the good of others.

Lord, how are you calling us to administer all you have given us? Help us be attentive to our voice in our lives and be faithful to what you ask of us.
