“Help the little faith I have!”

Mark 9:14-29

Jesus calls us into an acceptance of our current situations, and to be humble enough to ask for his help. Many times, we can be afraid of revealing our struggles to Jesus, but by avoiding this, we prevent ourselves from the healing grace and mercy of the Lord.

In this passage Jesus is moved with compassion for the father who calls upon him to heal his son. The father even admits of his lack of faith. How honest are we with Jesus? Do we allow our hearts to be open to him in prayer? When we allow ourselves to be open to Jesus, we allow him to heal the wounds in our hearts and grow with great faith and trust in him.
