“I was naked and you clothed me; sick, and you visited me.”
Matthew 25:31-40
In the Beatitudes, we are reminded of what God calls us to do to follow him, as he separates the sheep from the goats. Maybe we feel more like the goats, independent and not attending to the needs of those in our community.
In these words of Matthew, we have the opportunity to learn of the ways in which we can love God by loving those around us. Sometimes it may not feel like we are doing much, but Jesus tells us that whatever we do for one another, we are doing for him and that he notices it all. Every action we take (and do not take) is taken into account on our last day.
