“They all gave themselves to constant prayer with one mind…with some women and Mary, the mother of Jesus.”
Acts 1:12-14
The first disciples are gathered with Mary in prayer as they wait for the coming of the Holy Spirit. It is the presence of Mother Mary who helps the disciples to wait and to be prayerful in their not knowing. It is also Mary’s presence who keeps the disciples united.
What influence does Mother Mary have in our community and in your personal life? How do you live moments in your life where you have to wait for some outcome? How do you live moments of “not knowing?” Do you turn to Mother Mary for support? Do you turn to the community for prayer?
