“I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”
John 6:35–40
Jesus declared himself to be the Bread of Life, emphasising that those who come to him and believe in him will have eternal life and be raised up on the last day, showing God’s will for believers to have a personal, intimate relationship with Jesus, the source of spiritual nourishme nt and salvation. When Jesus says that those who believe in Him will have eternal life, he’s not just talking about living forever in the afterlife. He’s offering a life of purpose, hope, and abundance here and now. Believing in Jesus means trusting in His teachings, following His example, and allowing Him to be the centre of our lives.
When we do this, we experience a profound transformation and a deep sense of fulfilment that goes beyond our earthly existence. Imagine your life as a marathon, with work deadlines and family obligations as hurdles you need to leap over. Your soul needs nourishment to keep going, just like your body needs food. Christ offers you the ultimate replenishment through His unconditional love and salvation. He invites you to take a moment, breathe, and accept His guidance. Are you ready to embrace this opportunity and seek Him earnestly every day?
