“For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.”

1 Peter 1:17-23

In 2012, scientists successfully germinated and brought to life a flower seed that had been frozen in the Arctic ice for 32,000 years. If that is how God is able to preserve life in physical seeds, how much more is He able to give us spiritual life through His enduring Word?

Jesus was chosen before the creation of the world to save us. We don’t have to worry about whether or not we see the results of our work and our faith. We may share an experience of our faith and never see the person again. But our seed may bear fruit in the future and we won’t know until we see Jesus in Heaven. We should not focus on ourselves in our lives, but on how we were redeemed and on who redeemed us. Jesus shared His Father with us so that we could have eternal life through His blood on the cross. Jesus, please help us to come closer to You through prayer with Your Word each day, so that we can see our lives through Your eyes. We have been born again and we are moving towards Heaven step by step on a journey of love.
