Sunday 5th of May
“You are my friends if you do what I command you.”
John 15:9-17
In today’s meditation, we are invited to reflect on a beautiful passage from the Gospel of John that encapsulates the gospel message – to abide in God’s love and spread that same love to others. Jesus calls us to remain in his love, to experience the joy of being one with him, and to live as he did, united and obedient to the Father. To do so, we must follow the Father’s voice, pray, and keep the commandments.
So, how is our daily prayer? Are we consciously putting into practice what Jesus has asked of us? The greatest commandment that Jesus has given us is to “Love one another as I have loved you.” The more we practice love, the more we will experience being one with him. Do we make an effort to stay in Jesus’ love? What is preventing us from connecting with him?
