Friday 14th of November

“I anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.”

Colossians 3:12–13

God’s Word speaks to us personally today, inviting us to “put on” compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. These are the garments that truly suit God’s chosen people. But how uncomfortable it can be when what we wear doesn’t fit! Clothing that is too big, too tight, or too loose never feels right. In the same way, we can become spiritually uncomfortable when our “clothing” doesn’t match who we are in Christ.

When we carry worries that are too big for us to handle, when we hold tightly to material things while feeling the pressures of daily life, or when we become too loose wearing unforgiveness, resentment, or indifference, our hearts are not dressed as God intends. These things simply don’t fit us as God’s beloved sons and daughters.

Take a moment in prayer today and ask:

  • “Lord, do You delight in what I’m

    clothing myself with?

  • Are the garments I wear fitting for one who belongs to You?”
