“A sower went out to sow.”
Matthew 13:1-9
Today, we are invited to meditate on this parable of the Sower. As we read this passage, let us reflect on what kind of soil we are. When we pray, our heart is like this soil, which receives the Word of God and God’s love. To receive God’s love, we must be like this good soil, which can absorb it. When we are like this, good soil, this allows our faith to grow, bear fruit, and enables us to share God’s Word with others.
God loves his children unconditionally and shares his Word with everyone equally. The question is, will we absorb what he plants for us, or will it fall into a heart that is distracted? When we welcome His Word, it will nourish us, empowering us to share what we have with others. Are we ready to be good soil that bears fruit for others? Will we be Sowers for Jesus?
