Birthday of Mother Mary
“Those he called, he justified.”
Romans 8:28-30
Today, we are reminded of God’s goodness and providence. As St. Paul tells us, “We know that all things work together for good for those who love God and are called according to his purpose.” God has a plan for each one of us. He wants all His children to be saved and share in His love. God has called us according to His plan to love, to serve, and to live in the image and likeness of Jesus. Even when we cannot understand everything that happens in our lives, we are invited to trust that God is always at work, guiding us according to His loving purpose.
Today, as we celebrate the birthday of Mother Mary, we remember with gratitude how God called and chose Mary to be the Mother of His Son and to participate in His plan of salvation. Mary responded with faith, humility, and complete trust: “Let it be done to me according to your word.” May Mary teach us to recognise God’s call in our own lives and to respond with the same faith and openness. May we trust His providence, love others as Jesus loved us, and faithfully participate in God’s work of salvation.
