Wednesday 9th September

“Happy are you who are poor, who are hungry, who weep.”

Luke 6:20-26

Today, we are invited to pray about where true blessedness is found. Unlike what the world tells us, Jesus says we can be happy when we are poor in spirit, because there is more room for God to dwell in us. When we turn to Jesus in prayer, rely on his grace, surrender our burdens, and allow him to guide us, we are drawn into greater unity with Him. We might think we can depend on our own strength, capacity, or knowledge, but life can reach points beyond our control.

Returning to Jesus with all our heart, mind, and soul draws us closer to Him, filling us with hope and spiritual nourishment. In Him, we find true joy, both now and for eternity. Are we letting the world carry us away? Are we praying regularly to remain in communion with Jesus and follow His Word?
