“My yoke is easy and my burden light.”
Matthew 11:28-30
Today Jesus says, ‘Take my yoke upon you and learn from me’. We can learn so much from Jesus, who would often go to secluded places to be with his father in heaven. Do we share our burdens with Jesus? He is always with us and never leaves us alone in our struggles and burdens. He knows the weight we carry, becausehefeelstheweightofittoo. Howdowetalkto Jesus about these things? We may find that some of the burdens we are carrying are the burdens of others, but we share the weight of it. Where do we find rest? Do we go to Jesus, or to someone or something else? Today Jesus says ‘Come to me…I will give you rest’.
Today let us pray that we may learn to be meek and humble like Jesus and rely on him to give us rest and strengthen us for all that we are carrying.
