“ For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have?”

Romans 8:22- 26

St. Paul reminds us today that we have been created for eternity. This is the hope we cling to even though we do not see it fully or understand it completely. Still, we believe. We place our trust in God’s promise and wait with expectation for the day He will call us home to Himself. As we wait, we might ask ourselves: How is our hope holding up? Are we waiting eagerly, but also patiently? And while we wait, are we living in a way that reflects this hope?

Hope isn’t passive; it shapes how we live, love, and serve each day. Our choices, attitudes, and relationships are meant to reflect the eternal life we are waiting for. Perhaps today we could speak with God about how He invites us to wait in hope. To ask Him to strengthen that hope within us, especially when the waiting feels long or uncertain.
