Sunday 24th of AugustĀ
“The last shall be first and the first last.
Luke 13:22-30
It is easy to become consumed by work, daily routines or desire for comfort that our spiritual well-being can take a backseat. To draw closer to Jesus, we need to make a conscious effort to pray and practice love. this involves asking Jesus how we can live out the Word of God in our lives with our interactions with others, showing love, kindness, patience, and humility.
Perhaps today we can ask ourselves, which side do we want to be on? Do we prefer the easy way of thinking only about ourselves, or do we choose the narrow door of the Gospel that puts our selfishness into crisis, but which makes us able to welcome the true life that comes from God and makes us happy? Which side are we on? Let us ask Jesus to help us follow the way of Jesus and enter through the narrow gate so that we can experience fullness of life with him.
