Sunday 8th of December
2nd Sunday of Advent

“A voice cries in the wilderness: Prepare a way for the Lord..”

Luke 3:1-6

As we enter the second week of Advent, we hear the call of John the Baptist urging us to “Prepare the Way” for Jesus. These words resonate strongly during Advent, reminding us to focus on preparing our hearts for Jesus’ coming.
As Christmas approaches, it’s easy to become distracted by external preparations—shopping for gifts, planning meals, and decorating our homes— often neglecting the message of John the Baptist.
Today, let us take some time to meditate on the aspects of our lives that may need to be lowered, lifted, straightened, or cleared. May our mother, Mary, accompany us as we make room for Jesus, allowing His love and presence to fill our lives and homes.
