“Your Father who sees all that is done in secret will reward you.”

Matthew 6:1-6,16-18

Sometimes, even when we cannot be physically present for others in their time of need, we can still offer them a prayer. Our hearts can reach out and transmit love, hope, and support through these prayers.

We pray with faith, trusting that Jesus hears not only our words but also the good intentions we have for others. So when we pray for other people and loved ones, we not only experience his love and blessing but also trust that God will also bless the other with his love and blessing.

Today, Jesus also reminds us to be humble and give generously. When we do good deeds for others, there is no need to announce them. Our goal is to glorify God’s name, not our own. After all, everything we have comes from God – our talents, resources, and even our very existence. Therefore, we give in secret, not boastfully, reflecting the true love of God. Do we give generously without expecting things in return?
