“How to pray.”

Matthew 6:7-15

Today’s reading is a beautiful reminder from Jesus about what it is to pray. Not to overcomplicate it, but to go back to the basics as Jesus himself taught. Our Father knows what we need before we ask him. We are invited to pray with trust, hope and faith; Lord, let only your will be done in me, lead me closer to you. Please give me what I need for today, help me to forgive others.

Jesus, thank you for the invitation to pray, and to spend a little time with you. Thank you that you’re always waiting for us to turn to you. Help us to continue to show up for you and pray each day, to receive all the graces you have for us, and so we might be able to live lives of love for you and others.
