Sunday 19th of November
“You have been faithful in small things: come and join in your master’s happiness.”
Matthew 25:14-15,19-21
Each of us has received many different gifts and talents from God to put at his service and the service of our neighbour. Are we able to identify those gifts? It might be the capacity to listen deeply to another or the gift of teaching, welcoming another. Are we generous with the gifts God has given us? Is there anything holding us back from using our gifts? Talk to God about this in your prayer.
At the end of our lives, we all want to hear the Lord say to us, “Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in small things. Come and share the master’s joy.” Today, let us be faithful in the small opportunities God gives us so that we and others can share in the master’s joy. Because each time we love, we are revealing the face of God, allowing others to know—something of the master.
