 “’My Lord and my God!’

John 20:24-29

The apostle Thomas is known for his lack of faith. He did not believe in the experience of the community of the risen Lord. He doubted and said, rather boldly, that he had to see and touch the nail marks in Jesus’ hands and side. After a few days, the risen Lord appears to them once more. And Jesus invites Thomas to touch his wounds. It is only then that Thomas makes the act of faith, “MY LORD AND MY GOD.”

How is our faith? Are we mixed with doubt and belief like Thomas? Like Thomas, do we boldly challenge “to see in order to believe”? Let’s ask the Lord to increase our faith and see him as our Lord and God.
