The Assumption of the Mother Mary

“The Almighty has done great things for me.”

Luke 1:39-56

As we celebrate the Assumption of Mary, we give thanks to God for her life of faithfulness—a life deeply rooted in God and lived entirely in surrender to His will. Mary never sought her own path, but always followed where God led her, offering her life in loving service.

As we reflect on her life today, we are invited to meditate on the Magnificat, her beautiful Song of Praise. As we read these verses, which words resonate most deeply with you? Perhaps today we might like to offer in our own way, a “song of praise” for the ways God has been good to us. What would you include in our Song of Praise? May Mary’s trust and gratitude awaken in us a deeper awareness of how God’s mercy and love have shaped our own journey.
