“Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.”
John 17:1-5
When do we want to start our eternal life? Do we want to spend all of our time and energy focusing on material things and hope that we can enter Heaven when we die? Or do we want to come to know and love Jesus more and more each day and enter His kingdom now?
We can seek life and direction by who we follow, watch and listen to online. Artificial intelligence and material from algorithms can give us a temporary boost to our mood and distraction from our problems. But Jesus wants to give a connection to the real life that He offers to us. We can connect to Jesus and to our Father through our prayer each day. God glorified Jesus through the cross, which Jesus carried to do His Father’s will. We can follow Jesus on the way to salvation by carrying our crosses and being aware that He is with us every moment. Jesus, please help us to see You more clearly, love You more dearly and follow You more nearly, day by day.
