“Happy the eyes that see what you see!”
Luke 10:21-24
We have heard about great kings and prophets of the Old Testament. King David, was a leader and poet, writer of many Psalms, and his son, King Solomon is famous for his wisdom. Abraham is our father in faith and Moses led his people to the Promised Land of Israel. But we are more happy and blessed than any of these kings and prophets because we have heard the Good News.
The Jews were waiting and hoping for thousands of years for their promised Messiah to come, but they died without seeing Him. We have seen how God has fulfilled His covenant to save His people. We know that Jesus brought Good News even greater than if God had sent a leader to free the Israelites with a military victory 2,000 years ago. God sent His only Son to die to save us. We are God’s children, not just His creatures, and we are part of His kingdom now. Jesus, thank you for sharing the privilege of the Gospel with us and for making us part of Your plan of salvation.
