“The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.”

Psalm 103:8–13

Today’s reading is a beautiful passage reminding us of God’s love, mercy, kindness and compassion. This is an essential truth. Do we believe it? Is this how we see God our Father? As we savour these words, reading not just once, but over again slowly. What strikes me, and what is God saying to me today? What thoughts and feelings arise in me?DoIneedtoaskfor forgiveness, and receive his mercy anew today? What does this passage stir in me? We can talk to Jesus about this, confident in his love and that he wants to be with us as we are.

He loves all parts of us. Perhaps he wants to heal a wound, bring encouragement, or speak truth, reminding us of what he is really like. We can dialogue with him today personally, honestly, and sincerely.
