“You are the sons of those who murdered the prophets.”
Matthew 23:27-32
When we rush into decisions, act without self-awareness, disregard rules or handle things carelessly, we open the door to unwanted consequences. This behaviour often exposes what happens when we lack a life of prayer: our hearts grow cluttered with distractions and excuses, and our judgment grows clouded.
Yet today, Jesus calls us to a higher standard of trustworthiness, obedience, and faithfulness. Doing what is right begins with inviting the Holy Spirit to direct our steps. As we turn to prayer, we trust Jesus to cleanse our hearts and transform our circumstances. When faced with major decisions, do we truly rely on Jesus, or do we merely follow our own desires? Do we stop to discern our words and actions under the light of God’s love?
