” The Son of Man is going to his fate, as the scriptures say he will.”

Matthew 26: 14-25

Our journey through Lent has ended, but our journey of hope with Jesus continues. We see in Jesus’ life his constant obedience to God the Father, an obedience that brings us hope. Jesus never refused God’s will or made excuses or delayed. This teaches us that God has a greater plan for each of us, a plan that is ultimately best in every situation. By staying connected to Jesus through prayer, we learn to love unconditionally, forgive even when it hurts, and let go of grudges. We are called to stay with Jesus until the very end.

In which ways do we resist following God’s will? Are we ready to help Jesus carry his cross? What personal prayers do we want to offer Jesus before his Passion?
