“The Spirit reaches even the depths of God
1 Corinthians 2:10-16
Whose wisdom are we seeking? This is the question Paul invites us to consider today. We live in a world where information and answers are available instantly, especially through technology and AI. It is tempting to rely on this fast, all-encompassing wisdom because it is immediate and often tells us what we want to hear. But Paul reminds us of a deeper wisdom: the wisdom of the Spirit. “The Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.” The wisdom of the world can give us information, but it cannot give us the life of God or reveal God’s heart to us.
The wisdom of the Spirit is not simply about having more answers; it is about being drawn into deeper relationship with God. The Spirit may not always give us the quickest or easiest answer, and sometimes it challenges us and asks us to wait, trust, forgive and surrender. So the question is not simply, “What do I know?” but, “Who is shaping the way I think and live?” We can use the tools and knowledge of the world, including AI, but we must not allow them to replace our dependence on God. May we seek not merely the wisdom that is fast and convenient, but the wisdom that gives life.
