What you are going to do, do quickly

John 13:21-33,36-38

What does it mean that Judas betrayed Jesus? Jesus had just reached out to him in friendship by sharing food and by even washing his feet. but Judas had already decided to betray Jesus. Judas still had the opportunity to change his mind and to be faithful to his master, but instead he exercised his free will and let Satan enter into him.

God has given us the gift of free will. We always have the choice to give into our human nature and the devil, or to choose the hard road and to follow Jesus. In this Easter season, we can imagine on Holy Thursday that Jesus is washing our feet as His disciples. Also,  every time that we receive the Eucharist, Jesus is sharing the Last Supper with us. Do we choose to remember the privilege of the friendship of Jesus when we are tempted by sin? Or are we like Judas, who turned from Jesus and went into the darkness of sin? Jesus please help guys to be your faithful disciples, bring ing you joy I our service not troubled and sadness
