Sunday 23rd of November
Feast of Christ the King
“Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you…”
Mark 5:19–20
As we hear the story of the healing of the Gerasene demoniac, we witness how Jesus redeems a man’s life, one that everyone else probably believed was hopeless and beyond saving. After restoring him, Jesus sends the man back to his family and instructs him to proclaim the good news. There is truly no better messenger than someone who has personally experienced God’s power and grace.
In the same way, we too can recognise how God has blessed our lives and find ways to share those blessings with others, whether through our testimonies, by sharing God’s word, or by offering a helping hand. In doing so, we become witnesses of faith and instruments of change in the lives of others, just as God has transformed ours. Let us pray today for God to show us how we can be faithful followers by carrying out his mission in our own unique way, to those around us.
