Sunday 7th of May
“I am the Way, the Truth and the Life.”
John 14:1-12
How often do we hear people say they have lost their way or even feel that we have lost our way? Jesus reminds us in our reading today that he is the “Way, Truth and Life.” In a world where truth is held to be so relative, His truth never changes. Do we believe this? Or do we keep asking for more proof, like the disciples?
We may find ourselves searching for the way or wondering about the truth, or simply existing or surviving. We are called to experience God’s love, to live in relationship with Him, and to allow our inner knowing, the Holy Spirit, to lead us into the place where we see and hear Him clearly. The place where we live in the Resurrection, we recognise Love, the Way, the Truth and the Life. How different are our lives from this place?
