Sunday 12th of October

“Our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.”

2 Timothy 1:3-10

Saint Paul reminds us in today’s passage that faith is a gift—a precious and undeserved gift from God. Eternal life is not something we can earn; rather, it has been freely given to us by God’s grace. In His love and mercy, God desired for us to be with Him forever, and this is why He sent Jesus into the world—to redeem us. This gift of faith is something we are called to nurture and keep alive within us. Though we have done nothing to merit it, we are invited to respond with gratitude and commitment.

Today, we might also take a moment to reflect on the people in our lives who have shared their faith with us—those who have encouraged us, inspired us, and helped us grow closer to God. With thankful hearts, we can trace the journey of how faith has been passed down to us. And in making this reflection, may we also feel the call to share this gift with others—through our words, our actions, and the witness of our lives.
