Sunday 6th of July
“Your peace will rest on that man.”
Luke 10:1-9
In today’s gospel, Jesus teaches us how to carry out the mission. Before sending out His disciples, He gives them specific instructions—what to do and what to watch out for. Do we feel Jesus calling us to join in the mission? Do we share His urgency to spread the good news? When we hear Jesus say, “The harvest is large, but the laborers are few,” how does that resonate with us? Do we feel a sense of responsibility to collaborate in the mission?
Many times, when it comes to sharing our faith, we want to feel fully prepared. We want to know exactly what to say, and we fear being caught off guard. However, the reality is that the mission isn’t about having the perfect response or being a theological expert. It’s about sharing a living faith, about a personal God who loves us and wants to walk with us. So, are we ready to step out, even with our imperfections, knowing that the Holy Spirit will guide us? And most importantly, do we trust that Jesus will be with us, just as He was with His first disciples, every step of the way?
