 “The world hated me before it hated you.”

John 15:18-21

Jesus reminds us that it is not easy to live as He did. He was not popular and there are times when if we are living His way, we too will be treated with judgement and criticism and even hate. Yet we are not alone. We have been chosen by Him, so we are never alone.

Can we recognise an area of our lives where we feel persecuted due to our faith? We can be comforted by turning to God to be reminded that it’s not personal. Jesus lived and knows this experience of persecution, and He is with us, his chosen ones.
