“The Word is living and active.”

Hebrews 4:11-12

In today’s reading, we are called to have the Word of God dwell in our hearts, where it becomes alive and active in every part of our lives. God’s Word is always relevant, no matter where we are or what season of life we’re in. It is also the source of truth we must learn to live by, especially in today’s world, where truth often becomes relative and shaped by society.

When we allow the Word of God to penetrate our hearts, it brings comfort in difficult times, convicts us of our faults to turn our hearts back to Him, guides us in making good decisions, and helps us grow in our relationship with God. Of course, this can only happen if we know and pray with His Word. By doing so, we arm ourselves with His Word, drawing upon it whenever we need it.

Today, we thank God for His Word and ask that it remain alive and active in us, not only for our own benefit, but so that our actions and words may also reflect His message to those around us.
