“My power is at its best in weakness.”

2 Corinthians 12:1-10

St Paul reminds us again today that we need to be accepting of our weakness, because it’s there when God’s power works within us. Many times, we are ashamed of our weakness and hide it from others and deny it in ourselves. Yet St Paul boasts about it, knowing the power of Christ in him when he does it.

Is there anything stopping us from sharing our weaknesses with others? Are we afraid of what they will say about us? Opening up about our weakness can help us relate to others in ways we may not imagine, it can allow for a deeper connection. When we first talk to Jesus about our weaknesses, it gives us the confidence to share them with others.

Let us not be afraid, but trust in the power of God within us.
