Friday 5th of December
“The Lord is the fortress of my life; of whom should I be afraid?”
Psalm 27: 1-6
When troubles and turmoil rain down, it is time to find shelter in God. Today, we are invited to seek Him. How do we seek the beauty of the Lord and counsel in his sanctuary?
Anxiety and worry can assail us, can rush to devour us, like an army attacking us. But the psalmist remains confident in the Lord. God is our shelter, not an escape from reality, but His loving presence is the “rock” and security we need to go through the difficulties of life.
In this season of Advent there can often be many challenges that we need to face, let us not lose heart in the business of the season, but draw close to God who speaks to us of is life, love and shelter from the storms.
