“Let us keep firm in the hope we profess.”

Hebrews 10:19-25

As we come to prayer today, let us first slow down and check in. Am I rushing to pray, or do I need more time to slow down, and call to mind the presence of God, who is already within us. Let us approach with a sincere heart and in absolute trust. ‘For he who made the promise is trustworthy.’ How is my trust in God today?

As we journey through this year of hope, the word of God will teach us how to have hope. From today’s reading, we are invited today to hold firm, unwaveringly, to the hope we profess. What is the hope we profess? What am I holding on to today? We can talk to Jesus about these things today, in the concrete reality of our life. Let us draw from Jesus for the hope that we need, so that we can bring hope to others, by encouraging others today.
