“One is coming after me who existed before me.”
John 1:19-28

Today’s reading on the testimony of John the Baptist answers a few key questions – who are you? Why do you do what you do? For whom are you living? John knew his role was to prepare the people for the Messiah. He preached repentance and baptised with water to ready the people for Jesus, who would baptise them with the Holy Spirit. Ultimately, all of John’s life was directed towards God.

We also have a testimony of life. Do we know who we are, why we do what we do, and for whom we do it for? How are we invited to share our testimony with others, to be the voice in the wilderness for others in search for love, meaning, faith and God?

Today, let us spend a moment reflecting on our own testimony and humble ourselves before our loving God to be of service to him and others today.
