The Annunciation of Mary
“I am the handmaid of the Lord”
Luke 1:26-38
Life often brings challenges and uncertainty that may leave us feeling discouraged or negative. However, when we pray and allow the Holy Spirit to work within us, we are reminded that God is always present and that life is far greater than our temporary trials. We can rest assured that God never gives up on us. He is the resurrection and the life, and we can move forward with him, living a life filled with purpose.
It is the Word of God that provides hope, peace, and a foundation for trust. It is the same Word Mother Mary carried and listened to. We can learn from her how to listen, believe, and let go of our old ways. When we surrender control and rely on him, we can then follow his lead. What do we need to leave behind today? How are we responding to God’s call? Mother Mary, walk with us.
