“The parable of the sower.”

Mark 4:1-20

When we remain close to Jesus through regular prayer, we are nourished by his Word and prepared to serve others. However, without that connection, it is easy to be swept up by worldly opinions, negativities, and selfish desires. We may hear the Word, but it fails to take root when we are overwhelmed by busy lives and work demands. Consequently, when trials come, we are more easily overcome by fear, doubt, and anxiety.

Let’s take a moment to reflect: How is our spiritual life right now? Are we staying connected to Jesus and hearing his voice? What practical steps can we take to remain close to him every day?
