“The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.”
Matthew 1:1-17
Today as we reflect on the genealogy of Jesus we are reminded of the hope his coming gives to us. When we hold onto Jesus, we receive hope and joy knowing that Jesus never fails and will fulfil his promises. This joy, which springs from hope, has the power to stir up our faith. Jesus is our hope, bringing both joy and peace. Just as God had great plans for Jesus, he also has plans for us and looks kindly upon us.
From generation to generation, God remains with us, especially when we are faithful to him. With him, our joy can be made complete. Therefore, let us rejoice in the Lord with hope so that we may be truly joyful. Are we looking forward to Jesus’ coming with hope? Are we living hopefully during this Season?
