Weekly Reading 2

We can all set a good example for others through our words and actions, especially when we have God and His teachings as our foundation. However, it is our choice whether or not to do good. Jesus reminds us today through this parable of the importance of receiving the seed of the Word of God into hearts with good soil, free from the weeds of selfishness, prejudice, and negativity. Through prayer, we not only stay connected to Jesus but, with his help, cultivate a heart that is open, kind, patient and compassionate. Do we pray daily to remain close to Jesus? Do we listen to his voice or to other external voices? Do we share his word with others?
