“Why be envious because I am generous?”
Matthew 20:1-16
Sometimes, we struggle with the idea of generosity. We worry about being taken advantage of, giving in to demands, or compromising our own needs for the needs of others. However, Jesus calls us to a different path: one of generosity, honesty, and integrity.
He teaches us that there is great freedom in having a generous heart. We are reminded that everything belongs to God, and it is up to Him to distribute his blessings. True generosity comes from humility and trust in God’s provision. Are we generous with the gifts that God has given us? Or do we store his gifts and talents for our use only?
Let us ask Jesus to help us today and follow him in his path of generosity and kindness.
