God reminds the disciples that Jesus is His Son, whom He loves and to pay attention to his divinity and his impending death. Perhaps there are ways he is helping us to reinforce our faith when it is lacking and when we don’t trust him as much. Are we open to asking questions of God and understanding him more in our lives as the disciples did?
