Thursday 2nd of March
“But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him.”
Jeremiah 17:7-8
This week we are focusing on the importance of living a life of prayer. Living a life of prayer means that we can have security in God’s loving presence so that when life throws up difficulties and challenges, we can stand firm because we are living in him. Our prayer time with the trinity and the word of God provides us the grace we need in our day. Like the tree planted beside the stream, we can draw strength from God who is trustworthy, faithful and always with us no matter what we are going through or seeking.
As we spend some time imagining the scene of today’s passage, speak to Jesus about these words. “Stretches out its roots…It fears not… its leaves stay green…” and yet “still bears fruit”. This is the life of prayer we are called to, to remain connected to the living water so we may bear eternal fruit.
