“For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Hebrews 12:1-11

Each of us has our own cross in life where we experience difficulties, pain, challenges and the unexpected. It may seem difficult, but when we see Jesus beside us, we are encouraged to persevere, pick up our cross, and walk with him. Prayer and faith help us be more grateful to Jesus and recognise our need for him.  At the end of each journey, it strengthens us, knowing that only with Jesus can we go through it.

When we experience crosses, we unite ourselves with Jesus, who first endured the cross for us. Let us follow him and not run away from challenges and painful situations. It is when we pick up our cross and carry it with Jesus that we grow spiritually, mentally, and emotionally.  Do we rely on Jesus for his guidance?  Are we willing to carry our cross with Jesus’ love and confidence in him?
